a part that is left after a greater part has been used. the design aims to retrace the old historical nodes of kampong glam through capturing these points through its form.
3D interpretation.
as singapore strives towards a modern age, old buildings are being redeveloped to serve different purposes, losing its heritage/historical importance.
different communities dispersed but each left a significant imprint on kampong glam. after an analysis of the site, nodes have been selected for the basis of the concept which is to trace.
a study of the site, sun and wind path before proceeding with the design process.
project 02: multi-residential housing development
the remnant.
this project tested everything i learnt from the first year and heightened my ability to conceptualise more in depth during the design process. design parameters and regulations were the new key components in this project.
