this module guided me through the analysis of specific architectural ideas to arrive at the evaluation and selection of implementation alternatives.

a home away from home design project: to design a local community health centre to deliver a range of integrated health services with supporting cultural, health and fitness and commercial activities at carlton.
design issue:
research has shown that in the future there is a projected increase in the population and dwelling density in carlton, this increase has led to many segregated groups of people from diverse backgrounds.
design concepts:
1. a sense of belonging where elements of the local context would be used to create a sense of familiarity which connects to the people from their own homes to the cc with the aim of bringing the community closer under one roof.
2. social inclusion where a sense of home would encourage people to spend more time with other groups of people, improving the morale of those who feel excluded.
3. connection with nature as biophilic design is used to improve the well-being and expedite healing by providing users a healthy environment.
